No, not really to be honest. If you set your priorities straight and realize that no, some nights you can’t go out and party because you really do need to write that paper, then you’ll be fine. (: It took a few weeks to get everything in line, but once you get into a schedule and habit you’re good to go!
What I like most about my specific sorority is that we are ridiculously down to earth and unique in our own rights. You’ll probably hear that a lot, but I truly believe it for my chapter. There are almost 200 of us and everyone just has such a different personality and doesn’t feel the need to be like anyone else. You have your typical sorority girl and the artsy hipsters. But when we all come together and put our efforts into something it really turns out amazing. We’re a “stone cold pack of weirdos,” to quote bridesmaids and it is always a great time. Another cool thing I like about my sorority is that we are the largest chapter of AST in the country, and a lot of other chapters will look to ours for examples and ideas. It’s pretty cool to be a trendsetter in such an amazing organization as well.
JMU is an anti-hazing campus.
